In 1912, Gottfried Andersson and his wife Jenny bought two mills, a saw, a planer and a water right from the Varnforsen estate in what is now Ekenession. This decision laid the foundation for the successful Bröderna Andersson.
One mill was replaced with a power station and they were able to supply electricity to the community and nearby towns. The Andersson family built a modern residential building and a carpentry workshop, where they began to make furniture. Among the first pieces of furniture is a magnificent chest of drawers.
In 1946, the sons Sven, Inge and Max Andersson take over the business and create the Industrier Bröderna Andersson in Ekenession.
In 1956, they built a new plant in Wetlandavegen. The factory has gradually expanded over the years. The production area today is 30,000 square meters.
Since 1996, third-generation cousins have continued the tradition.Official Website
