Giorgetti (Italy)

The Italian factory Giorgetti, bearing the name of its first owner and founder, Signor Luigi Giorgetti, has been operating in the furniture market since 1898. It specializes in the production of expensive furniture in the neoclassical style. Since its inception, the manufactory has offered modest furniture for Benedictine monasteries and luxurious, Empire-style furniture for wealthy townspeople. Until the end of the 1980s, she specialized in the production of expensive classics for individual orders. And in 1987, a radical decision was made: go to serial production. Famous architects were invited to work through the efforts of Umberto Asnago (head of the research center at the factory). However, every author, be it the Italian Massimo Scolari or the Chinese Chi Wing Lo, uses the characteristic features of the classical style in his contemporary works: pointed legs, a bed curtain, a back with “ears”. All this together is the graceful, refined, almost unearthly Giorgetti furniture.
