Vitra (Switzerland)

Vitra is a Swiss furniture company headquartered in Birsfelden, founded in 1950. The company is known for the production of renowned furniture designers and the work of renowned architects. Launched in 2004, the Home Collection includes classic furnishings from Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Werner Panton and other world-renowned designers.

Over the years Vitra has accumulated a growing collection of furniture with the aim of making it available to the public. To this end, the museum was founded as an independent foundation dedicated to the research and popularization of design and architecture.

Today, the Vitra product line consists of designer furniture for the home, office and public spaces. The products have received numerous design awards from international organizations.
